I'm in the army and trying to help a divorce!?
I have a bit of a situation. My wife and I want a divorce, totally challenged. I have a lawyer and filed the divorce, and both agree with everything .. including the fact that a child born during the marriage was not mine. (I did a test paternity, and she admitted to cheating on me during the time) The lawyer gave the judge, and after waiting like 4 weeks … the judge says there is "evidence clear and convincing evidence that shows the child is not mine "So now you're doing an official paternity suit to give the judge .. we both signed and certified including the child's birth .. now he is saying that we must find the "father boligical" of the child for some reason. It has been like 5 months .. and I having to pay more money and more. The state in which we are presenting is Hawaii. my state is a resident of Louisiana, and she lives in Alabama. Can someone please help me .. this seems like a long-neccessarly. Please someone point me in the right direction. I want it faster!
Where to file papers for divorce? You know you can get a JAG officer to help in the matter and you do not have to go through a civil lawyer. But the judge in this case is only looking after the interests of the child. What you can do is order the baby's father to make child support payments since you and your wife are getting divorced.
