Can you answer goingcrazy’s question about Divorce?:

My ex-wife called me last night and is planning to remarry. She needs an annulment paper signed in order for her to join the Catholic church and remarry a guy from that church. We were divorced about 10 years ago. What will this annulment do to our divorce decree that we signed in 1999? I have finally gotten finished with child support payments as all the kids are now over 18, but what about the other parts of the decree? Will they still be valid?

Can you answer Ask _DR!!!’s question about Divorce?:

I received my conditional green card based on my marriage to my wife. We are planning to divorce because it is just not working out between us. I have to apply to remove the conditions on my green card 90 days before it expires. I looked on the USCIS website which says that you can still apply if you get divorced. But my question is if it is harder to have the condition removed if I get divorced? What are they looking for in order to accept the removal of the condition? Thank you.

Can you answer americanenglishusage’s question about Divorce?:

I don’ t know where my wife is. I am planning to file for annulment based on fraud. Does anyone know these two things?
1) Can an attorney who files my papers be in Florida but at the same time do everything according to the laws of the state where papers are filed?
2) Do police serve the papers to my spouse or these are just sent by regular mail to the her last known address?

I get different answers all the time, so it gets me even more confused.

Thanks.
Of course, I am not turning to you to help me decide. And the people I consulted with a professionals. The thing is that every attorney tries to get me into the whole complect in order to make more money. Now, the attorneys who mostly deal with paperwprk tell me that I will not even have to go to court as there is no fighting over anything. We have no children, and the house is officially mine. So I was hoping that someone could help me understand who of the attorneys I conctacted is not trying to get the maximum amount of money out of me. I am devastated anyway.
